The Best Property I Have Ever Stayed In
Perfect location in the old city. The property manager aurilie is so welcoming and she goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is enjoyable. Located in the jewish quarter there are a number of places to eat, the area is safe and clean. The property is amazing with a huge living area perfect for relaxing at the end of a long day of exploring. I hope that i will get the opportunity to stay here again one day, i couldn't recommend highly enough.

I have stayed in airbnb's for several years now. I have never ever experienced the luxurious feel of an airbnb like I did at Rova Arches and I have stayed in some beautiful places from Israel, to Spain and then Paris. Stanley stayed in touch with me from the moment of booking. He then met us when we came to Jerusalem showing us the apartment and where to park. Actually he spent several hours with us as we settled in and we had some questions regarding our stay and to add to all of this he is such a lovely lovely person. Two vases of a dozen red roses in sparkling vases welcomed us when we walked through the beautiful doors of Rova Arches. Warm bread with olive oil, along with a special blend of herbs for dipping awaited our arrival tempting us with the best aroma of flavors these hungry travelers could want. A bottle of wine accompanied the bread as well as goodies in the refrigerator that would enhance our stay. At that moment we fell in love with this gorgeous luxurious apartment in the Old City as well as Stanley and his warm hospitality. I am not exaggerating when I say - the entire experience felt magical. To stand on the apartment balconies and watch the Old City come alive each morning was experiencing a different culture at its very best while tucked away in our own private palace. One of the friends that came with us was a musician. Everyday he played the piano, which by the way has one of the best sounds for a baby grand, and his music filled the walls and arches of this gorgeous home. We hosted dinner parties every night with old and new friends and everyone that walked into the apartment was overwhelmed by the old world charm as well as the new modern sumptuous surroundings. Whoever decorated this beautiful home had every detail in mind that a person would need while traveling. We sat in the living areas at night and watched the light play off the beautiful colors of the chandelier and ensconce the room in magnificent shades that literally danced off the arches. Stanley even called us one day to explain a celebration taking place in the Old City that evening along with the history of the celebration. We were able to go out that night and watch Jerusalem come alive with celebration and excitement that comes from the long rich history of the Jewish people. We are already planning our next trip to Jerusalem and you guessed it - we are staying at Rova Arches and look forward to seeing our new friend Stanley when we come back to Jerusalem. This is an apartment you will never regret booking! But please do not book it when we plan to come. :)

Best place to stay in all of Israel. Period.
I was hesitating to give a review on this place, as I'm concerned that there will be no more availability after my raving review , so I decided I won't go into details ill just state what all the reviewers before wrote, that this place is absolutely the most beautiful place to stay in all of Israel . Everything a person can think of is there for your use, and the actual apartment is beautiful and huge . I wish I would've stayed there all of my previous visits to Israel . Location is also super & can't be beat. Parking is a nice 15-20 minutes walk to the mamilla parking lot just outside the Jaffa gate . Hopefully I'll be back soon.

A Dream Come True
If you ever wanted to stay in the old city and be in a luxury apt, this is the one. The apt is gorgeous and the attention to detail to make it feel like you're in a 5 star hotel is what really sets this choice apart.
I cannot say enough about the apt and we are counting the days until we can return.

The magic of the Old City is outside your door
We stayed in Rova Arches in early July during a 2 week trip to Israel. The property and particularly, the location, cannot be beat!
LOCATION: Within 2 minutes you can walk to the Kotel, the Arab Shuk, the Tower of David, etc. There is a cafe just next to the property, on the Hurva Synagogue square, where you can people watch for hours. We found it very easy to walk to the Jaffa Gate (maybe 3 minutes) when we had plans outside of the old city. Mamilla Mall is also a 3 minute walk if you feel the need. There are numerous places to shop, eat (both a quick shawarma or falafel, or a sit down dinner) within a 5 minute walk.
PROPERTY: We were 2 couples, a 69 year old, and a 13 year old boy. There was plenty of room as there is an open floor plan with plenty of space to stretch out. The apartment is spacious, beautifully appointed, clean, and has anything you might need to make the stay enjoyable.
SERVICE: Aurelie, the manager, could not have been nicer and more accommodating. Bagels, juice and fresh fruit awaited us, which was really a very nice touch after hours of traveling. There were fresh flowers on the table. There was a box of teas and espresso available throughout the stay.
We travelled to several locations on this visit, and I have been to Israel many times. I will say, without reservation, that this is the nicest, most welcoming apartment we have ever stayed in. I would (and will) recommend this to all of my friends, and will certainly stay there again.

Don't miss this apartment
Rova Arches is everything it says it is. Wonderful position in the Old City, near the Western Wall, beautifully appointed and great facilities. We were given a warm welcome by Aurelie who manages the property. She put great care and attention into advising us on our arrival which was on Memorial Day when there was likely to be a lot of traffic. The apartment is secure and quiet and has two little terraces which have views of the nearby square. A particularly helpful touch was the use of an iPhone with local connections. This was great for GPS navigation around Jerusalem and Israel and for making local calls. We cannot recommend this place highly enough.
—Michael from London
Our host Aurelie, was great. She took care of getting us taxis from where we dropped our rental car which was good because getting into the Old City is confusing when you are there for the first time. She had fruit and food all laid out for us, which was wonderful with tired and hungry kids. She showed us how everything worked and was a delight.
The apartment was everything we thought it would be. Spacious, quiet, clean. And yes, we played the piano quite a bit!
The best part of the apartment is the location. Wow. If you're going to experience Jerusalem, I can't think of a better place to be.

Home away from home
I have had my share of different accommodations all around Israel and in Jerusalem. Being from New York City it is very hard to find accommodations I am used to. But Rova Arches exceeded my expectations! The apartment itself is a beautiful mixture of old world charm with all the modern conveniences you can want. I stayed with four other adults and we were able to spend time in the living room sipping wine while our friend played the piano, or sat out on the back porch enjoying the locals in the square. It was a special treat to be in the old city during Purim, and to be able to watch the festivities from the apartment. This location was ideal for me as I like to spend my time praying at the wall and staying in the Jewish qtr makes this extremely convenient. Idan was very helpful and generous and made our stay even more comfortable, between arranging our transportation in and out of the old city with our luggage and even making dinner reservations. I almost want to keep this place a secret as you can see in my title it is my home away from home and I want to keep it that way. LOL This is one listing that lives up to its pictures and description you will not be disappointed staying here, the only problem you will have is never wanting to leave. Thank you Idan for all of your help and hospitality I will definitely be staying in Rova Arches again!
—Jaime from New York
An amazing way to stay in Jerusalem. The apartment is absolutely beautiful and completely central. Aurelie and Idan were far better than any hotel concierge and bent over backwards to make sure our stay was perfect.
—Felicity from London
Nothing Could be Better
We just returned from a week long stay. It was unbelievably special. To say that the location is good is an understatement. We were in the middle of the Jewish Quarter during Pseach. Priceless. Idan was very accommodating. The apartment is beautiful and very comfortable. Best stay in Jerusalem. Do not hesitate to rent this apartment. It's perfect.
—Suzi and Andy from Illinois
The moment you come in you are stunned by the beauty of this place. Not only is the living room amazing, but the apartment comes with heated floors! The beds are comfortable, and the kitchen has milk, fruits, bagels, coffee, and tea waiting for you. The bathrooms are very clean and have modern appliances. The cell phone for us to use was a bonus, and the cherry on this beautiful cake is the location! It is right in the heart of the Jewish quarter and a very short walk to the Kotel. The host, Idan, was wonderful. He was always available when we needed him. He made dinner and breakfast reservations, helped with a taxi, and directions. I can't say enough about our experience in this charming apartment and can not wait to come back!
—Faina from Minnesota
Outstanding location, gorgeous apartment, excellent host
For anyone who has never been to Jerusalem, you won't appreciate how ideal this location is until you are there. The photos do not do justice to the "wow" factor of this apartment, which was very comfortable for 4 adults and 2 teens. Idan was not just a responsive manager but was very proactive, offering suggestions for outings/events that aren't necessarily published in the guidebooks. Enjoy your time here, but book more than the 2 nights we stayed, as this is nowhere near enough time to see Jerusalem.
—Bruce from Canada
We stayed for 5 nights (5 adults and one older child aged 12). Rova arches exceeded our expectations. The accommodations were really first class. Clean, modern, and warm with every possible amentity. Fresh flowers, bagels, tea, coffee. We had a washer/dryer, large whirlpool tub, deluxe Scrabble set. All the trimmings! :) It was cold and rainy for March, and the apartment had excellent climate control that included ambient heating (heated floors)! Bonus for us thin-blooded Florida folks. The location was what really made us happy. Located in the Jewish Quarter, right next to the Hurva Synagogue, and literally 2 minute walk to the Western Wall. You won't find better or nicer people than Idan and aurelie, whose thoughtfulness in all small details, made this trip so wonderful.

Fantastic apartment in ideal location
This is truly a spectacular apartment. We consider ourselves extremely fortunate to have stayed here.
The apartment has obviously been recently renovated and redecorated, and the owners have done a beautiful job. The appliances are high-end, the decor is tasteful and the apartment has all amenities. The bedrooms are good-sized, with comfortable beds and luxurious linens. The full bathroom is gorgeous, and appointed with high-end, beautiful fixtures. There is an additional half bath off the entry. The kitchen is big, with two sinks and dishwashers and all modern appliances and ample dishes, etc. The living room is enormous and sparsely furnished, so it is not an ideal room to gather and relax as a family, but it is lovely.
The location is also wonderful. The apartment is in a beautiful pocket of the Old City, right above Hurva Square in the Jewish Quarter. The square is active, so you will hear some noise if you have the windows open, but nothing annoying. There are restaurants and shops within a 1 minute walk. The Kotel is a 5-minute walk. The Jaffa Gate is about 10 minutes.
The owner, Idan, could not have been more gracious. He arranged for us to drive into the Old City and right to the door of the apartment when we arrived (this drive through the narrow streets at a busy time was harrowing, but exciting -- we felt like we were driving on the grounds at Disneyland). We had bagels, fruit and fresh flowers waiting for us. When a minor issue arose during our stay, he was immediately accessible and helpful.
We cannot recommend this apartment highly enough. If you have the opportunity to stay here, do it. It will enhance your visit to this already magical city.
—Cody from California
Absolutely wonderful place to stay in the Old City
We have rented apartments and villas all over Europe and the US and this one ranks right at the top of our list! It was so well located in the Old City and in walking distance to almost everything we wanted to do. The owners could not have been more accommodating and helpful. They thought of every detail - bagels, homemade jam, fresh fruit, 3 bouquets of fresh flowers, special soaps and shampoos, clothes washing detergent, plenty of paper products, plenty of linens, etc. The apartment was spotless and had everything we needed and was exactly as advertised (or better). If we are fortunate enough to return to Jerusalem, we wouldn't stay anywhere else.
This apartment is even better than its description and photographs - it exceeded our expectations! Every detail accounted for, outstanding layout, comfort and design, and the an unbeatable location. Everyone who came to visit gave it a Wow! A rare gem not only for the Old City but anywhere! Easy management to deal with. Cannot wait to return!

Great Place to Stay
I was with a group of 5 friends. We decided to stay in the Old City and were lucky enough to find the Rova arches. The condo is in the heart of the Old City, located next to the Synagogue with a restaurant and coffee shop next door. Our location allowed us to walk to every nook and cranny within the city. The best times are at night when only the locals are out and about (no crowds, no tourists). As for the accommodations the 5 of us were perfectly comfortable. The kitchen was fully equipped with plates, glasses, cooking utensils, etc. Rooms large with comfortable beds. A small balcony allowed us to sit and sip wine as we watched the locals pass by. Overall we couldn't have asked for a better location. If you are looking for the perfect spot in the Old City this is the place.

Stunning apartment and incredible location
The minute we arrived at the apartment it was love at first sight. The location was incredible just minutes from the western wall and right in the center of the old city. The apartment was breathtaking and the amenities perfect. Everything in the apartment was better then advertised including the well stocked espresso machine. Idan was great and very helpful and just a nice and pleasant person to deal with. I will definitely be returning to this apartment next year.
—David from New York
We couldn't have asked for more! The location, right in the heart of the Jewish Quarter and overlooking Hurva Synagogue, is truly special: Not only is it convenient (5-10 minutes to the Western Wall and to the Dung Gate), but it also feels very atmospheric and genuine with children playing in the square and with the residents going about with their activities. The apartment itself is gorgeous and very spacious, just as photographed. What the photographs may not adequately convey, however, is how well-equipped it is: Everything and anything that guests could possibly want are provided, with top-of-the-line appliances including a Nespresso with abundant pods! The owner clearly has carefully thought through the needs of their guests and then went beyond for their guests' comfort, with well-stocked kitchen, bath, and laundry supplies --including a complimentary SIM card! Everything is spotlessly clean; Wifi worked impeccably; and Idan couldn't have been more welcoming and kind, despite our 2:30 am arrival! As previous reviewers have mentioned, the fresh-cut flowers, milk, juice, and bagels really are such a nice way to make guests feel welcomed, especially for that first morning! And last but not least, Idan must be the nicest person one could possibly meet: From initial inquiry and throughout, Idan answered all of our questions promptly and completely with spot-on restaurant recommendations; during our stay and even during our drive to the airport as we were leaving, Idan would check in just to make sure that we were doing okay! Tips: Idan can help arrange for transfers to and from the airport, since it is tricky to find the apartment otherwise. The taxi service Idan recommends, as expected, is very professional, punctual, and a bargain too! We had stayed at the Mamilla Hotel during our earlier visit to Jerusalem. For its outstanding location, lovely set-up, thoughtful service, and great value, we would choose Rova arches Suite in a hearbeat!

Magnificent is true
To whomever wants to stay in the magical city of Jerusalem, this is the place to stay. The place is just as it is described and photographed. It is clean, well kept and new. The location could not have been any better. We stayed for three weeks and loved every minute. The owner was great from start to finish. He was available, patient, respectful and helpful at every turn. Our only hesitation in recommending this place is that when we want to go back, they may be booked as we have raved about it and now wondering if we should have kept it a secret.
—Leeat from Canada
Excellent place to stay in Jerusalem
It was the best apartment to stay for our first trip to Jerusalem. It is absolutely well located, well furnished and very calm. We were three adults and three teenager and we had really a very pleasant time in Jerusalem especially thanks to our host who was so helpful and patient with us because we had so many requests and questions. He had always an answer or an idea to help us further. Thanks a lot.
—Kerstin from France
Unbelievable people to deal with as well as a beautiful apartment just amazing!!

It was fantastic
The apartment was charming, well-stocked, modern and ideally located. There were four of us, all senior citizens. The owner helped us find transportation and wonderful restaurants.
—Connie from Florida
The manager Idan was very helpful and provided excellent service. The apartment was exceptional, comfortable and spacious. Being in the old city was was a great experience, the location was unbeatable. I am looking forward to staying at this apartment again.
—Ben from New York
When my friend sent me the link "magnificent home in the Old City" I was a bit skeptic since I have stayed in various flats in the Old City before and had been dissappointed. This flat is a real gem! Beautiful design, modern combined with antique, enhancing the feeling of being in such a special place and still with all the creature comforts.
The layout of the flat is very convenient and my children felt very at home right away. The linen was gorgious and the beds very comfortable, there were spare blankets and pillows though we didn't need. We arrived on a freezing cold day but we forgot all about it as soon as the underfloor heating started to work. A real treat!
We came for Shabbat and were invited for all meals so we didn't use the flat's facilities but it's all there: hot water urn, Shabbat switch in refrigerator, plata, dishwashers, washing machine... As for the location, it's great! You can see the Churva from one of the bedrooms as it's right next to it and it's just off the Central square with all the amenities you might need. The owner was very helpful, taking care of every detail. Pity we came for such a short time, we would love to come again!
—Debbie from Bnei Brak
Wonderful experience in the old city
We have rented other apartments in the old city but none compare to Rova arches; beautifully appointed; they thought of everything - fresh flowers in the dining room and master bedroom upon arrival; bagels cream cheese, milk and juice waiting for us; spotlessly clean; comfortable European width (narrower than in the us) beds; the Nespresso machine made great espresso coffee; beautiful selection of herbal teas; candles; kiddish cup, Havdalah set included; numerous restaurants and mini-markets within a 2 minute walk; 6 minutes to the Kotel; and, even though it is on one of the busiest squares in the Jewish Quarter, close the windows and it is quiet inside.
